New York, NY AdTek provides proprietary integrated software products and customized software systems to middle market domestic and international banks, as well as foreign banks and U.S. agencies of foreign banks. We provided $750,000 of growth capital in the form of subordinated debt and common stock. Boom Fitness Clubs. New York, NY We purchased a $500,000 convertible note from Boom, an operator of Manhattan-based health clubs. The transaction provided additional capital for acquisitions and/or new club openings. Boom has a young, but experienced management team, and a timely formula of full service and low cost. Conner Industries, Inc. Ft. Worth, TX Conner is a leading remanufacturer and distributor of lumber products for packaging applications, such as pallets, crates and shelvings. We purchased $200,000 of a $1,500,000 preferred stock issue that funded additional plant capacity. Datatrac Corporation Atlanta, GA Datatrac is the leading provider of software and hardware solutions to the time sensitive delivery business. A wireless communication system feature, together with the company's entry into new web-based services (courier and expedited freight), produced a significant capital requirement. We provided $1,000,000 of convertible note financing for new equipment and market development. Devlin Video International, LLC New York, NY Devlin is one of the New York area's leading providers of video standards and high definition conversion, duplication, DVD, and related postproduction services. We provided $1,000,000 of subordinated debt financing and acquired a major equity position in the company. Edison Group, Inc. New York, NY Edison Group provides technology assessment services for both established and emerging companies in the computer industry, using product-specific expertise developed in the Edison Group technical labs. Electronic Directory Corporation Chicago, IL Electronic Directory Corporation designs, installs, and operates interactive video information systems in public facilities such as office buildings, hotels and municipal centers. Revenue is derived from local and regional advertising. We provided $300,000 of growth capital in the form of convertible subordinated debt. Firecom Inc. New York, NY Firecom designs, installs, and services sophisticated fire safety systems in high-rise office buildings and hotels. The company is a long-standing leader in the metropolitan New York area with annual revenues of approximately $14,000,000. We provided $1,000,000 of convertible debt financing in support of the company's expansion plans. Marco Manufacturing, Inc. Poughkeepsie, NY Marco was formed to reestablish a Poughkeepsie-based circuit board assembly operation that was closed by Ogden Corp. in April, 1996. Marco's low-cost, rapid turnaround services address new and limited life product cycles, as well as the just-in-time requirements of a variety of high and low technology businesses. We provided Marco with $200,000 of convertible debt to fund equipment and working capital requirements. Quadlogic Controls Corporation New York, NY Quadlogic (QDLC) designs and produces electricity meters that are read remotely, via powerline-based communication systems. Product enhancements and deregulation have resulted in increasing quote and order activity. We purchased an $800,000 note with warrants, the proceeds of which are being used to support product and market development. Sono-Tek Corporation Milton, NY Sono-Tek (SOTK) designs, manufactures, and sells ultrasonic spray systems used in a variety of industrial and R&D applications, including the production of printed circuit boards, biological devices and security equipment. Norwood has funded additional working capital for Sono-Tek with $850,000 of debt and warrant financing.
